Disaster management is the act of organizing and managing resources and responsibilities to deal with all aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, prevention, mitigation, response and recovery in order to lessen the impacts of disasters.
WIDM is a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario. WIDM is a centre of innovations for disaster management. We provide services such as industry solution, research consulting and educational consulting and solutions. Our business activities and interests are innovative Geo-information Technologies and applications in geology, natural hazards & disaster management and related subjects that engage governments, NGO’s, and private sectors in consulting projects, remote sensing, land surveying, mapping and GIS, utilizing our expertise in earth science, engineering, environment, geology and geography to provide client driven solutions.
WIDM tries to act as a bridge for organizations, industries, universities and academics to work together jointly with a flexible program. WIDM works in smart geospatial solution for development and sustainability. WIDM makes services to parties through international networking. It helps to gather scientists, researchers and industries and students around the world together time to time for sustainable innovative ideas and technologies.
